Video-Based Monitoring

Software that can automatically detect the behaviour of individuals in traffic from video to evaluate, for example, the impact of lane narrowing and peak-traffic lanes. Trajectories measured with very high accuracy based on video pictures enable manoeuvres such as lane-changing, overtaking, and following to be derived and quantified.

The software has been in use for over 12 years by Rijkswaterstaat – Dutch Ministry of Transport.
